All of our Ski & Ride School instructors have inside tips and their own favorite things about the mountains here at Keystone, and without a doubt, helping guests unlock new terrain is magical. Our three peaks are set up perfectly to help you progress and transition seamlessly from groomed trails to tree runs to bowls and back again, with a variety of options for all skill levels.

If you're a beginner, Dercum Mountain is the peak for you. The learning area is a beautiful Gondola ride up at the top, so you can take in those mountain views right away - no need to be an expert on skis to enjoy these gorgeous vistas! Most of the terrain up there is groomed nightly, so it’s a great place to start if it’s your first day, or to get your legs warmed up if you are a more advanced skier or rider.

If you are a more intermediate to advanced student, North Peak has some never-ending groomers that are perfect for working on skills. Then, get ready for some real fun and let your inner child loose when you head over to the Outback and hike into the bowls, weave around some trees, and check out the rugged terrain you have been dreaming of.

We are always improving here, too, and we like to make sure all our guests get to experience the newest Keystone offerings. Our new high-speed 6-passenger Peru Express lift just opened at the Mountain House base area this year. If you are really adventurous, a hike up Bergman Bowl is a fun challenge, but next season you’ll be able to hitch a ride up to explore the 16 new trails of lift-served terrain. Our instructors know of all these new features and more, and will lead you to these special pockets on the mountain.

Whatever your goals are, let our instructors lead you to the best terrain and show you a memorable day at Keystone.
