Be Mine? Valentine's Day Date Ideas at Keystone

What could be more romantic than exploring Keystone’s winter wonderland with your better half? Whether you’re looking for a candlelit dinner or an activity-filled day, check out our suggestions below to plan a perfect getaway with your sweetheart.

Ice Skating Couple on Lakeside rink at Keystone

Table for two!

For perhaps the coziest, most intimate dining experience in Summit County, head to the Ski Tip to treat your partner to a four-course dining experience in a historic cabin just down the road from Keystone. Start by asking the on-staff sommelier for wine pairing recommendations, or order from the seasonal cocktail menu before enjoying four carefully crafted courses. Be sure to end your meal with their signature apple strudel & ice cream, best enjoyed by the fireplace for a full hygge dessert experience. Bonus tip: stay overnight and cuddle up in one of Ski Tip’s Bed and Breakfast rooms to really up the ante!

The Keystone Ranch is another great option for a romantic dinner. Enjoy their gorgeous full-service bar or reserve a table for signature menu items likeWaygu Bone Marrow Brulee, Oysters on the Half Shell, or House Made Tagliatelle. You can’t go wrong with dessert – the Keystone Ranch Grand Marnier Soufflé is heavenly.

Take in the Views

Breathtaking vistas abound from the top of the new Bergman Express. We promise they’re even more stunning when shared with a loved one. Click into your skis or strap into your snowboard and head up above treeline for some profile-picture-worthy selfies with your sweetie before a descending through the wide-open Bergman Bowl.

Dashing Through the Snow

Grab your honey and bundle up in a fleece blanket for a horse-drawn sleigh ride in the Soda Creek Valley. Book a dinner ride for live acoustic guitar entertainment, hot cocoa (with peppermint Schnapps, anyone?!), and a quaint setting amongst old mining cabins. Top it all off with enjoying the constellations and the moonlit mountains on your trip back.

If you prefer something a bit faster, check out mountain-top snow tubing to slide, glide, and spin down 8 tubing lanes at the Dercum Summit!

Break the Ice

Ok, don’t actually break anything, but what better way to get conversation flowing than to rent ice skates and glide around one of our two outdoor skating rinks? Try the Dercum Square rink in River Run for a quick spin, or check out Lakeside Village for one of the largest ice skating ponds in the state! Whether you’re just learning or you’re a figure skating pro, you can always hold hands for stability ;)

"Ahhh" at the Spa

Pampering on-demand. Sound like your speed? Check out the Alpenglow Spa at the Keystone Lodge and Spa to find anything from express treatments to a full spa day experience. Reserve a couples massage and spend the rest of the day relaxing in the many amenities including a eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, hot tubs and heated pool, and fitness center.

Après to End the Day

If you want to spend the whole day shredding it up as a pair, choose from a wide variety of terrain including mellow groomers, steep tree runs, and hike-to bowls. Once you've worked up an appetite, head to 9280 Sake House in the River Run Village for the perfect way to end your day. Cheers to powder stashes over Poke Bowls, Bao Buns, and Sake with your favorite ski buddy.

If you plan to end your day at our Mountain House base area, 2 more and skip the last right to Last Lift Bar for a low-key local's favorite. Take your pick of an impressive selection of beers on-tap, and, if you're lucky, you might catch live music!

For an on-mountain pit stop, check out the newly renovated Timber Ridge for drinks by the fireplace and a variety of elevated food options to refuel and head back out for more laps.

The Singles Line

Single as a Pringle? That’s all good, too! Rally your #KeySquad, grab a family member, or meet someone new on the gondola – there's no wrong way to play your way through winter when you’re here!
